Ghost of Yotei is getting a free DLC in March, and it's a big one

Sucker Punch Studios announced a brand-new free DLC for Ghost of Yotei during the State of Play event today, and it adds a full online co-op experience to the game. The DLC is called Legends, and it will be available for free to all players on PS5 starting March 10 as part of patch 1.5.
As for what the DLC offers, Legends is an online multiplayer mode where you team up with friends to fight supernatural versions of the Yotei Six. The focus here is co-op gameplay, not PvP, and everything is designed around working together against deadly enemies.
Legends will include three main mission types. The first is Survival, where you can team up with up to three other players to fight waves of enemies across four different maps. Your main goal is to take control of the map, and once you do, you can activate a Blessing that gives you an advantage in combat. If you lose control, a Curse is triggered instead, making things harder.

The second mode is Story, which is built for two players. This mode includes 12 missions in total, and every three missions unlock a special Incursion. Incursions are larger four-player assaults on strongholds tied to members of the Yotei Six. Once you reach the end of a stronghold, you'll need to fight against a supernatural version of Spider, Oni, Kitsune, or Snake.
The third major mode will arrive a bit later in April. This mode will be called Raid, and it will let you challenge the remaining two members of the Yotei Six: Dragon and Lord Saito.
Players can also choose between four different classes, which include Samurai, Archer, Mercenary, and Shinobi. Each class has access to core weapons like katanas and ranged options, but they also specialize in different combat styles. For instance, the Samurai uses the ōdachi and has the widest weapon variety, while the Archer can wield a spear and carry extra ranged weapons. Similarly, the Mercenary focuses on dual katanas and utility skills, while the Shinobi leans heavily into stealth and uses the kusarigama.
