Do you like the purported camera design of the iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Air? Recent leaks seemingly indicate a thorough redesign for the successor to the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Contradicting rumors or leaks are scarce at this point.
Leaker Sonny Dickson has now corroborated the big camera module on the back of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max in a post on X. The render image he shared is embedded below and supposedly shows a third-party case for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

It’s unclear whether these leaks actually show the final design of the iPhone 17 Pro. However, designers like @asherdipps apparently enjoy the new look and have incorporated the fresh design in good-looking concept videos. The clip embedded below also imagines a gold color option, which hasn’t been seen before.
Recent leaks suggest that Apple will ditch the titanium frame for the new iPhone Pro, whose smaller model variant is also rumored to become more compact and lighter, despite a bigger battery. Whether all these predictions turn out to be true remains to be seen.
Bloomberg analyst hints at better video quality
In his weekly Power On newsletter, the very reliable analyst Mark Gurman mentioned that the iPhone 17 Pro camera system will focus on vloggers and other creatives. Therefore, Apple apparently plans to improve its video quality in order to lure filmmakers away from dedicated cameras and towards the new iPhone.
