The 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth controller has gotten a color refresh, one that closely resembles the Nintendo 64's controller. However, it comes with a higher price tag and won't be available until 2026.
The 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller was first announced in October 2024 as an official controller for the Analogue 3D console. However, just like the console, it got delayed before its eventual release in July 2025. Available in Black and White, 8BitDo has now announced the controller in Classic Gray.
The Classic Gray 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller pays homage to the original Nintendo 64 Controller. Not only does its shell have the same gray color, but it also has a red start button, yellow C-buttons, a green B button, and a blue A button. The D-Pad is a dark gray, like the shoulder buttons, while the joystick's cap is light gray.

Save for the cosmetic differences, there are no functional differences between the various colors. However, unlike the Black and White variants, which cost $39.99 at launch (currently available for $31.99 on Amazon), the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller in Classic Gray costs more at $44.99.
The new colorway appears to be exclusive to the 8BitDo eShop, and according to the store page, the controller will begin to ship on January 30, 2026, which is a pretty long time from now. However, that wait may be worth it if Analogue releases the Analogue 3D in Classic Grey, considering the black and white color options of the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller match the colors the console is available in.
