Vivo has now started to tease its upcoming entry into the high-end foldable Android smartphone market for 2025, although the company has yet to announce a date for the impending X Fold5 launch event.
It will definitely take place by the end of June 2025, according to the famous leaker Digital Chat Station. The new and apparently super-light and thin foldable might not debut alone, however.
The Fold5 is now projected to launch alongside the Pad5e: another version of the recently released Pad5, but with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 silicon of the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro instead of the ex-flagship Dimensity 9300+ processor.
Digital Chat Station also hints that the upcoming tablet will have the same 144Hz 12.1-inch LCD display as the Pad5, which could make it as snappy as the 11.2-inch Pad 7 Pro (now available on Amazon in the EU for €429.90), even if the Vivo slate would be the slightly less compact of the 2.
In other words, it might have the same specs as the rumored sub-flagship variant of the same name that failed to materialize alongside the Pad 5 and 5 Pro from Vivo subsidiary iQoo.
Vivo's supposedly upcoming Android devices are predicted to launch alongside the TWS Air3 Pro, a pair of wireless earbuds with premium specs that include active noise cancellation (ANC).
