Asus has been busy introducing a plethora of new monitors lately, whether that be OLED options like the PG32UCDMR, XG32UCWG, XG32UCWMG and XG34WCDMTG or the ultra-fast XG248QSG. On top of that, the company has teased the introduction of a new Tandem RGB OLED-backed model that could reach 4,000 nits while delivering a 540 Hz refresh rate.
Asus has plenty of other gaming monitors that it has not released yet though, some of which it initially showcased months ago. For instance, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDPG formed part of the company's CES 2025 showcase alongside examples like the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM (curr. $1,199 on Amazon). While the PG27UCDM has been available for some time, Asus has not commented on the XG27AQDPG since January.
According to TFTCentral, the company has privately confirmed not only the XG27AQDPG's approximate release date but also its launch pricing. Apparently, Asus hopes to start selling the XG27AQDPG in July 2025 with an $899 MSRP. As it stands, the XG27AQDPG could become the first 500 Hz QD-OLED monitor to reach shelves, despite Gigabyte and MSI having presented alternatives too.
For that price tag, the XG27AQDPG should also provide 0.03 ms GtG response times, variable refresh rate (VRR) support and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) when connected to a device via HDMI 2.1. Currently, Asus is expected to deliver the monitor with DisplayPort 1.4 connectivity too, as well as its OLED Care Pro software to maximise panel longevity. Full details about the XG27AQDPG will likely remain unknown until the summer, though.
