The Asus ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG has made its global debut. First introduced in China in early April, this gaming monitor brings support for up to 610 Hz refresh rate. The company also claims that the panel has a rated response time of 0.1 ms, which should make it a perfect pick for competitive gamers.
Speaking of the panel, it's said to be Super TN, which is known for its speed but is often criticized for having lower color accuracy than IPS panels. However, Asus claims that the screen of the Strix Ace XG248QSG has 90% DCI-P3 color coverage.
Another highlight of the new ROG gaming monitor is support for Extreme Low Motion Blur 2 (ELMB 2). Per Asus, the panel is 65% brighter when compared to competitors, which should lead to better clarity. There are AI-enhanced features as well, which the company says will give users an edge over their competitors.
As for the design, Asus highlights that the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG comes with a new Ergo Stand. It's said to be 30% smaller than the stands that the XGS monitors come with (Huano 32-inch gas monitor arm curr. $34.92 on Amazon). I/O of the monitor includes a DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Other notable aspects of the gaming monitor include 240 Hz and 480 Hz modes, 1080p resolution, and 24.1-inch display size. There's no word on the global price and availability of the Asus ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG yet.
