LG’s 27-inch QHD OLED UltraGear monitor with 480Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and 98.5% DCI-P3 coverage is now available at its lowest price in 30 days - $749 on Amazon, 25% off.

One of the fastest gaming monitors on the market is currently available at its lowest price in the past month. LG’s 27-inch OLED 480Hz display has dropped to $749.99 on Amazon, down from its usual $999.99. That’s 25% off its original price and the lowest it’s been in the past month.

This isn’t just another flashy panel with inflated marketing specs. The 27GX790A-B is part of LG’s UltraGear OLED line and has been tested and retested with solid real-world performance backing it. Reviewers from Rtings gave it a 9.2 for PC gaming and highlighted its standout low input lag, pixel-perfect motion clarity, and near-instantaneous 0.03ms response time - making it ideal for competitive titles.

Where it really pushes past its rivals is in panel tech. This OLED screen supports all VRR formats, including G-Sync and FreeSync Premium Pro, and uses Micro Lens Array (MLA+) to offset brightness losses usually seen in OLEDs. Combined with HDR True Black 400 support and a 1.5M:1 contrast ratio, you’re getting both the deep blacks and sharp highlights OLED is known for, without sacrificing too much peak brightness.

That said, it’s not flawless. There’s some noticeable VRR flicker when frame rates fluctuate, which might be off-putting for variable refresh users in uneven framerate scenarios. Also, brightness gets a score of 6.7/10 in testing - so this is still more of a dark room monitor than anything else.

On the I/O front, it includes DisplayPort 2.1, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a 4-port USB 3.0 hub. You also get RGB hexagonal backlighting (if that’s your thing), DTS Headphone:X audio pass-through, and a full tilt/swivel/height-adjustable stand. And at 26.5 inches of actual screen real estate, it’s slightly roomier than typical 27-inch displays.

For content creators, it scores an 8.4 in color accuracy, covers up to 98.5% DCI-P3, and even manages a respectable 8.6 for editing tasks. But to be fair, this is a monitor made with esports and action gaming in mind. If you're a casual editor who also grinds Valorant or Apex, you’re in the perfect demographic for this.

Amazon is listing this as a limited-time offer, so if you’re planning to upgrade your setup and want high refresh OLED without going over $800, this is eassily one of the cleanest options out there right now.
