The ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG is one of two new gaming monitors that Asus has revealed today. Likely launching later this year, the 4K OLED gaming monitor provides 165 Hz or 330 Hz refresh rate modes with the new TrueBlack Glossy finish that is said to offer 'zero-haze' visuals.

Asus has just released the ROG Strix XG27UCDMG globally with a 240 Hz QD-OLED panel that spans 27-inches diagonally. Building on the ROG Strix XG27AQDMG (curr. $649.99 on Amazon), the ROG Strix XG27UCDMG may match the ROG Strix XG27AQDMG when it comes to refresh rate. However, it complements this 240 Hz refresh rate with a native 4K resolution compared to the 1440p equivalent that the ROG Strix XG27AQDMG offers.

Now, Asus has expanded its ROG Strix XG monitor series with the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG, which is joined by the even more impressive ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWG. Spanning 32-inches diagonally instead of 27-inches, the ROG Strix XG32UCWMG also switches to a WOLED panel produced by LG Display. As a result, it supports LG's Dual Mode technology, which allows it to provide two refresh rate and resolution combinations instead of one.

In this case, the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG can operate at 4K and 165 Hz or 1080p and 330 Hz as needed. Alternatively, its panel size can be effectively capped using Asus' Aspect Ratio Control to recreate a 24.5-inch or 27-inch panel size. Arguably, one of the biggest features of the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG is its coating, which Asus describes as 'TrueBlack Glossy'. A step on from the glossy finish it pioneered with the ROG Strix XG27AQDMG, TrueBlack Glossy is described by Asus as follows:

The TrueBlack Glossy film pairs a zero-haze optical layer with an advanced anti-reflective stack. The zero-haze layer keeps black hues intact in any lighting, allowing the monitor to deliver deep blacks even in bright environments. For gamers seeking pristine image quality throughout the day, not just in the evening hours, these monitors are ideal picks.

Meanwhile, the new monitor will ship with one DisplayPort 1.4 connection, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a pair of USB Type-A ports and a USB Type-C port that provides 15 W charging and DisplayPort Alt Mode compatibility. Reportedly, the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG offers up to 1,300 nits peak brightness too, for which it is VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certified. Unfortunately, Asus has not revealed pricing or availability yet, though.
