Xiaomi may not be that far away from unveiling the POCO F4 and POCO F4 Pro, global versions of the Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro+. Seemingly, the FCC has confirmed that the former will launch with MIUI 13 and a 4,400 mAh battery, while the POCO F4 Pro will be a 5G-capable smartphone.

Earlier this month, Xiaomiui noticed that the POCO F4 Pro had appeared on IMEI databases under the model number 22011211G. Thought to be a re-branded Redmi K50 Pro+, the POCO F4 Pro should be joined at least the POCO F4 when it launches globally later this year. In the meantime, Xiaomi has certified the 22011211G with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in Singapore and the 22021211RG with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US.

As the screenshot below shows, the IMDA confirms that the 22011211G is a 5G smartphone; the Dimensity 9000 possesses a 5G chipset. In comparison, the FCC has published numerous details about the 22021211RG, including that it has a 4,400 mAh battery (rated capacity). Predictably, the POCO F4 will launch with MIUI 13, potentially based on Android 12 if recent Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Pro+ Geekbench listings are anything to go by.

Reputedly, the POCO F4 could arrive with the Snapdragon 870, the same SoC expected to power the Redmi K50. Incidentally, @Shadow_Leak believes that the POCO F4 may be nothing more than a re-branded Xiaomi 12X, released last year in China. The Xiaomi 12X could debut globally on March 15 too, alongside the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. By contrast, Xiaomi will showcase more Redmi K50 handsets on March 17 in China.
