After Lenovo released the Legion Y700 in China earlier this month, other compact performance-focused tablets are expected to follow. Both RedMagic and iQOO have tablets in the works, but it now seems Redmi could beat them one of them to the punch at least.
As shared on Weibo, Xiaomi is readying a Redmi gaming tablet to debut in June. Towards the end of June, to be exact. That should see it launch before iQOO's offering, which is expected to arrive in the second half of the year. The new Redmi tablet is expected to make its debut alongside the Redmi K80 Ultra. That device recently received certifications in China and will feature a 7400 mAh battery and 120 W charging.
Like the Redmi K80 Ultra, Redmi's upcoming gaming tablet is said to be equipped with bypass charging and a large battery. Both devices are also expected to feature MediaTek's Dimensity 9400+, as is fitting with their positioning as flagship models. Other known features of the Redmi tablet include an ~8-inch LCD, dual speakers, and dual-axis motors. Supposedly, the gaming tablet will come with a surprising price tag, and it wouldn't be shocking if it undercut the prices of its close rivals from Lenovo and RedMagic.
