What is expected to become the Redmi K80 Ultra or Redmi K80 Extreme Edition has taken another step closer to release after appearing a few days ago on the MIIT's database. To recap, the handset surfaced with the model number 25060RK16C, which indicates that Xiaomi intends to release the device in China.
On top of that, the MIIT indicated that the Redmi K80 Ultra has a circa 7,500 mAh battery. If that holds true until release, then it would see the device offering a 36% battery capacity upgrade over its predecessor, which Xiaomi eventually launched globally as the Xiaomi 14T Pro (curr. $618 on Amazon). Based on a new China Compulsory Certification (3C) listing, this huge battery capacity could be joined by equally impressive charging capabilities too.
As the screenshot below shows, the 3C has certified 25060RK16C for sale with up to 120 W wired charging either via Xiaomi's MDY-14-ED or MDY-17-EW power supplies. Incidentally, the latter appears to be a new variant that may debut alongside the Redmi K80 Ultra at some point. Based on recent rumours, this hardware will be complemented by MediaTek's recent Dimensity 9400+ chipset, which can already be found in devices like the Oppo Find X8s and Vivo X200s, among others.
