Redmi claims to have made its imminent K80-series flagship as "Extreme" as possible in every conceivable way - its in-built audio system included.
The K80 "Ultra's" potential upgrade is due to the integration of the 1115 coaxial common magnetic circuit technology heretofore exclusive to the Huawei Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design (a smartphone that cost 9,999 yuan (~$1,391) at its launch), according to the respected leaker Digital Chat Station.
The K80 Ultra apparently has not just 1 but 2 of these cutting-edge components, arranged into a "coaxial symmetrical dual speaker" system apparently rated for a more consistent level of sound pressure (or SPL) across an extensive 8,000-20,000 hertz (Hz) range (due to an average SPL increase of 16 decibels (dB), according to another typically reliable tipster, Fixed Focus Digital).
That might indeed help deliver the exceptional treble and bass already promised by Redmi ahead of the K80 Ultra's imminent debut - a level of audio quality win not seen by the brand or its parent Xiaomi since the release of the Harman Kardon-branded Mi 10S in 2021.
