In recent weeks, there have been suggestions that the Redmi K90 series may launch slightly earlier than expected. Specifically, Digital Chat Station reported late last month that the Redmi K90 Pro could arrive as early as the autumn alongside the Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro. However, it seems that Xiaomi is not done with the Redmi K80 series just yet.
Publicly, Xiaomi has not acknowledged the existence of the Redmi K80 Ultra or Redmi K80 Extreme Edition. Nonetheless, the device has seemingly been certified by the MIIT's China with the model number 25060RK16C. As usual, the MIIT does not reveal too many details about the device, let alone its retail model name.
Instead, XpertPick has determined that the 25060RK16C has a 7,270 mAh rated battery capacity. Thus, Xiaomi will likely advertise the Redmi K80 Extreme Edition's typical battery capacity as around 7,500 mAh, which nears the capacity that the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro provides. Currently, the Redmi K80 Extreme Edition is expected to remain exclusive to China. With that being said, Xiaomi may re-brand the device as a Xiaomi 14T Pro (curr. $634.99 on Amazon) successor later this year just as it did in 2024 with the Redmi K70 Extreme Edition.
