Xiaomi is well and truly underway with its latest smartphone teaser campaign. To recap, the company previewed the camera capabilities of the Civi 5 Pro last week. Initially, Xiaomi merely shared an image that revealed three rear-facing cameras complemented by a 50 MP front-facing sensor. However, it then published samples taken with this new 21 mm selfie camera, as well as the 60 mm telephoto camera from the Xiaomi 15 (curr. $1,069 on Amazon).
Now, it has switched to detailing some of the Civi 5 Pro's internal hardware, such as a 6,000 mAh silicon carbon battery. As expected, the Civi 5 Pro also finds itself with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, an in-house 'gaming antenna' designed to minimise online gaming latency and an advanced vapour chamber cooling system. On top of that, Xiaomi has included a 6.55-inch display that sits within a 7.45 mm thick and 73.2 mm wide housing.
Moreover, the mid-sized panel will be capable of reaching 3,200 nits with 1.6 mm uniform bezels. Joined by two front-facing cameras set in a pill-shaped punch hole, the display will have a subtle curvature just like its metal mid-frame. While Xiaomi has not revealed a release date yet, we suspect the Civi 5 Pro will receive an official launch before the end of the month.
