The growing free game library of Steam has expanded once again. X user @SteamGamesPC has spotted a handful of new free games that launched between early May and mid-May 2025, and here's more information about some of them:
- Phantom Grid - described as a fast-paced action arcade with stealth mechanics and cyberpunk-inspired visuals. This freebie launched on Steam on May 15.
- Levania - an open-world RPG with multiple classes and a turn-based battle system. It became available on Steam as an early-access free game on May 16.
- Foreman Frenzy! - said to be an arcade-styled 2D platformer with nine challenging levels and fast-paced gameplay. This new free game became available on Steam on May 12.
- VolleySmash - a fast-paced volleyball title with single-player and local multiplayer support. It became available to download on Steam on May 13 and currently has a "Positive" rating that's based on 35 player reviews.
- Rogue Worlds - described as a chaotic roguelite platformer with challenging levels and retro graphics. This free game, launched on May 14, currently has a "Positive" rating on Steam that's based on 17 player reviews.
- Granvir: Zero Front - a third-person roguelite mech-builder with large-scale battles and a wide range of weapons. This free action game currently has a "Very Positive" rating that's from 50 player reviews, and it became available on May 13.
- Grimwar - described as a fast-paced shooter with a heavy emphasis on movement and playstyle customization. It currently has a "Positive" player rating with 30 reviews, and this freebie launched on May 17.
- Strike Back - a 2D ground-based fighting game with offline 1v1 multiplayer mode. This free game became available on Steam on May 17.
- Night of the Living Skurre - said to be a third-person action-platformer where players play as a squirrel tasked to save the forest. This freebie launched on Steam on May 16.
- FREST - described as an adventure game with challenging levels and building mechanics. It launched on Steam as a free game on May 12 and currently has a "Positive" rating based on 15 player reviews.
