Xiaomi reveals the Mijia Laser Projector 1S 4K: Short-focus projection for up to 150-inch large screens priced at 14,999 yuan (US$2,121)
Xiaomi has revealed the new Mijia Laser Projector 1S 4K that is supposedly 30% brighter than the previous-generation laser projector. The device utilizes a powerful short focus that allows it to cast a screen from 80 inches up to 150 inches in size from just a few centimeters away. Buyers can enjoy the 80-inch screen with the Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 1S 4K just 5.5 in/14 cm away, while the 150-inch maximum display requires a 19 in/49 cm projecting distance.
The Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector TV 1S 4K is a 15.4 lb/7 kg box that measures 16.1 x 11.4 x 3.5 in/410 x 291 x 88 mm. It offers a 4K resolution and the box contains a T968-H processor, 2 GB RAM, and 32 GB storage. Three fans are part of the Mijia Laser Projector’s cooling solution, and the device has HDR10 certification. As for brightness, users can expect 2,000 ANSI Lumens, which means in a typical business or home environment you wouldn’t need to completely shut out all the natural light to be able to see the projected screen.
The lifespan of the Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 1S 4K’s light source is estimated at 25,000 hours, so for 14,999 yuan (US$2,121) users will get plenty of service out of the new device. There are plenty of connectivity options on the Mijia Laser Projector, including HDMI and USB 3.0. The powerful short-focus laser projector is on sale during the 618 shopping festival for 12,999 yuan (US$1,838).
