Xiaomi may well be unveiling the Mi Band 5 on June 11, but the fitness tracker is already available to purchase on Gearbest. Brought to our attention by Gizchina, the Gearbest listings are full of what appear to be official marketing assets.
The retailer is currently selling the global version for US$42.99, although its claims that the device's RRP is US$111.64. There has been no suggestion that Xiaomi will price the Mi Band 5 this highly, so we would recommend discounting this for the time being. The Chinese version, meanwhile, comes in at US$39.99. Both are available to order now, with Gearbest estimating that it will ship the Mi Band 5 by August 3.
Gearbest only has the black version available to purchase at the time of writing. However, Xiaomi has teased that it will be announcing up to seven colours come June 11. Gearbest has confirmed that the Mi Band 5 will feature a 1.2-inch display too, along with the six other "major upgrades" on which we have already reported. Xiaomi is expected to sell the Mi Band 5 through its eCommerce channels too, although it is unclear when it will commence doing so.
