Global Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5 will be released in July; unboxing and hands-on videos of the Mi Band 5 start appearing
Xiaomi has decided to inform global fans of its products immediately about the plans for its just-launched Mi Band 5 fitness tracker. It appears foreign markets will start receiving the bracelet, which has been renamed “Mi Smart Band 5” for the global marketplace, sometime in July. Adding the word “Smart” to the Mi Band 5’s name is a simple way of differentiating the Chinese variant with the Global variant and also emphasizes the fitness tracker’s smart functions for additional marketing purposes.
Unsurprisingly, unboxing and hands-on videos of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 have already started being uploaded to YouTube. One of the unboxing videos highlights the terrific magnetic charging utility for the fitness tracker, and after being paired with a smartphone the user puts the Mi Band 5 through its paces by scrolling through the numerous functions the new Xiaomi wearable offers to its buyers.
The hands-on video of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 (see below) typically shows the same details, also highlighting the device’s heart-rate monitoring ability, sleep tracker, and PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence) calculator that makes sure the user is staying healthy and active. The Mi Band 5 with or without NFC has now been unveiled in China while the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5, with undoubtedly higher price tags, will make its global appearance in July.
