Xiaomi announces the Mijia Projector 2 Pro with ToF technology and up to 200-inch screen projection for 4,599 yuan (US$658)
The Xiaomi Mijia Projector 2 Pro has been unveiled in China, with the OEM requesting a sum of 4,599 yuan (US$658) for a purchase. Shipments of the device start on July 29 and those who make an early purchase will also find they get a free Xiaomi LED table lamp as part of the package. The reasonably compact Mijia Projector 2 Pro weighs 3.7 kg and measures 215 x 201 x 143 mm.
As well as offering ToF technology for enhanced focus modes and HDR10+ support, the Mijia Projector 2 Pro can cast images of up to 200 inches, although it works best when projecting screen sizes from 60 inches to 120 inches. The smart projector features its own processor in the form of the Amlogic T972 chip, and it also has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB eMMC storage to take advantage of.
The Xiaomi Mijia Projector 2 Pro can project at a maximum brightness of 1,300 ANSI Lumens, which means it will work best in a shaded room or office with dimmed lighting. The 1080p projector can cope with 4K and 8K decoding, and it comes with its own 2x 10 W speakers. With PatchWall software, Xiaomi’s virtual assistant, and plenty of connectivity options, the Mijia Projector 2 Pro is a versatile device that can be used for big-screen movie watching or game playing.
