Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has made a post on Weibo asking his followers for their opinions about what features a high-end flagship smartphone needs. Unsurprisingly, his post sparked speculation that the executive was actually leaking a few details about the widely rumored Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro+ (Super Cup) smartphone. The device was believed to be coming with a Snapdragon 865+ chipset, although a new leak from Digital Chat Station suggests a Snapdragon 865 SoC is going to be the more likely choice, with the performance difference between the two chips not being especially large.
Lei Jun mentioned these specific features in his post when he requested the opinions of Xiaomi fans: dual speakers, X-axis linear motor, high screen refresh rate, 3.5 mm headphone jack, NFC, infrared remote control, 30x and above zoom, display fingerprint sensor, 4,500-mAh and above battery, wireless charging, and vapor chamber cooling. It wouldn’t be a surprise to find some or all of these features in a high-end product such as the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro+.
It’s already believed that the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro+ will come with a high screen refresh rate of 120 Hz anyway, and it might also support up to 65 W fast charging. However, as we already reported, the potential price tag for a Mi 10 Pro+ flagship is certainly not going to be classified as “affordable”, with some expectations crossing the US$1,000 mark for this Xiaomi smartphone.
