After releasing the Pad 7 Ultra last week, Xiaomi looks set to launch a new, similarly premium tablet. This new tablet, expected to be a direct successor to the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro—and hence, branded as the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro—has now received a new certification in China.
The certification has the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro identified with the model "25053RP5CC", consistent with a previous sighting at China's 3C website where it was also listed with 120 W charging, along with connectivity specs identical to the Pad 7 Ultra's.
According to Digital Chat Station, one key difference between the Pad 7 Ultra and the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro will be their displays, with the 7S Pro sporting a 12.5-inch LCD instead of an OLED like on the Ultra model. That also effectively confirms that the Pad 7S Pro will be positioned lower, and be cheaper, than the Pad 7 Ultra.
It's currently unknown what chipset will underpin the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro. Multiple sources strongly indicate it will not be the Snapdragon 8 Elite, however, although XRing O1 and a Dimensity 9400 series chipset remain distinct possibilities. While there's no concrete information on when the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro could debut, there's a chance it launches in China alongside the Mix Flip 2 in late June, with a potential global launch unlikely to be on the cards till later in the year—perhaps at the same event as the Xiaomi 15T series?
