Vivo launches mid-range tablet with 12.1-inch display and Snapdragon 8-series chipset

The Vivo Pad 5 series includes multiple tablets, such as the standard Vivo Pad 5 and the higher-end Vivo Pad 5 Pro. Now, the company has introduced the Pad 5c as its latest mid-range tablet in China.

Vivo Pad 5c specifications

The tablet offers a large 12.1-inch display with a "2.8K" resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 900 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, an octa-core chipset based on a 4nm process. In our testing, the chipset scored around 1.4 million points on average on the AnTuTu v10 benchmark. Vivo has also revealed that the tablet features a 32,200mm² vapor chamber cooling system.

The tablet packs a 10,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support (20K Anker powerbank curr. $69.99 on Amazon). The Pad 5c is 6.62 mm thick and weighs 584 grams. It comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Pad 5c offers WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.

The Vivo Pad 5c features a quad-speaker setup and is compatible with the Vivo Pencil 3 stylus and Vivo Smart Touch Keyboard 5. On the software side, the tablet runs Android-based OriginOS 6.

Vivo Pad 5c color options and pricing

The Vivo Pad 5c comes in blue, gray, and green options. The base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage is priced at CNY 2,699 (~$397). The 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB variants are priced at CNY 2,999  (~$441) and CNY 3,499 (~$514), respectively.

Notably, the company also offers the iQoo Pad 5c in China, which shares the same core specifications and pricing as the Vivo Pad 5c, though it is offered in only two color options: gray and silver. Separately, a leak has revealed key specifications of an upcoming compact iQoo tablet.
