Vivo X500e leak points to new design, Snapdragon 8-series chipset and Zeiss-tuned camera

In May 2026, multiple new Vivo smartphones were spotted in the GSMA IMEI database, including the Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500e. Now, tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has shared key details of a Vivo "E" model, likely referring to the Vivo X500e.
The leak suggests the device will feature a square-shaped camera module on the upper-left side of the rear panel, marking a departure from Vivo's traditional X-series design language, which has typically featured a large circular camera housing.
The device is said to come with a 6.59-inch display. It is tipped to feature a Sony IMX 8-series periscope telephoto camera with Zeiss tuning. The leak also indicates that the Vivo X500e may use a Snapdragon 8-series chipset. For context, the standard and Pro models in the X500 lineup are expected to use Dimensity 9600-series chipsets.
The tipster did not specify the launch timeline for the Vivo X500e. However, the X500 series is expected to debut in Q4 2026. Separately, a leak has also shed light on Vivo's next compact smartphone.
