RedMagic officially confirms global launch of flagship OLED tablet

The RedMagic Astra was launched globally as a high-end gaming tablet in June 2025. It features a 9.06-inch display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and an 8,200mAh battery.
On its official X account, RedMagic has confirmed that the RedMagic Astra 2 is "coming soon." The company has not disclosed specific availability details or pricing. However, RedMagic has suggested that the tablet will be based on the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, which is set to launch in China on June 30.
Key highlights of the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro
The RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is confirmed to feature a 9.06-inch OLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits of peak brightness. The tablet will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the same flagship chipset used in the Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5. Notably, the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will also feature a water-cooling system.
The tablet is confirmed to pack an 8,300 mAh battery with 80W fast charging and dual USB-C ports. The tablet will be available in black and silver colorways.
