Alldocube has released a 4G version of the iPlay 70 Max Pro tablet that originally launched with 5G support. The new 13-inch tablet ships with a newer version of Android but has a lower res selfie camera, slower charging, and a higher price tag.

Alldocube is back with another model in its iPlay 70 series of tablets. The new tablet is the iPlay 70 Max Pro, and it has the same name as the model that was announced last November in Japan. However, unlike the first version which has a 5G modem, this new variant has a new processor with a 4G modem. To avoid confusion, we will add the 4G suffix to the name of the new model.

The iPlay 70 Max Pro 4G has a 13-inch IPS display with a 2560 × 1600 resolution. The spec sheet says it has Widevine L1 compatibility, so you can stream shows from platforms such as Netflix in high resolution. It also has 400 nits of brightness, and like the 5G version, it has support for a stylus.

Powering the new tablet is the Unisoc T7300 processor, which Alldocube says offers 20% better performance than the MediaTek Helio G99 processor. There's 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a microSD card slot for adding up to 1TB more storage. On the back of the iPlay 70 Max Pro 4G is a 13MP camera with LED flash, the same as the 5G model, but instead of an 8MP front facing camera, Alldocube has gone with a 5MP sensor for the 4G model.

The iPlay 70 Max Pro has quad speakers, an AI amplifier, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, and Face Unlock. It also has dual SIM support, although the second SIM slot doubles as the microSD card slot. The 5G version, on the other hand, has eight speakers, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 5.

Both tablets have a 10,000mAh battery capacity, but while the 5G model supports 33W PD fast charging, the new 4G model supports 30W fast charging, but comes with a 20W adapter. The iPlay 70 Max Pro 4G ships with Alldocube OS 5.0L based on Android 16, whereas the 5G version ships with Alldocube OS 4.0L based on Android 15.

The Alldocube iPlay 70 Max Pro 4G is available to buy now in Japan for JPY 34,999 (~$216/€189) on Amazon Japan and Rakuten. The 5G version of the tablet cost JPY 29,999 (~$185/€162) when it launched, but is now JPY 33,999 (~$209/€183).
