TrimUI has released its latest Game Boy-style retro handheld following its short pre-order period. Available globally, the TrimUI Brick Pro features a larger display and better battery life than the TrimUI Brick or the TrimUI Brick Hammer. TrimUI has added a pair of Hall effect joysticks too, all for under $100.

TrimUI has finally released the Brick Pro, a more premium alternative to the original Brick. To recap, the company started teasing the Brick Pro in mid-January 2026. While pre-orders opened in late June, Retro Dodo reports that the Brick Pro has only just received a general release.

Despite adding a 'Pro' moniker, TrimUI has decided to re-use the Allwinner A133P chipset from the original Brick and the Brick Hammer (curr. $109 on Amazon). Likewise, 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM returns, as does 8 GB of eMMC flash storage and support for up to 1 TB microSD cards. On top of that, the Brick Pro features an ABS and polycarbonate housing, with TrimUI reserving an aluminium enclosure for the Brick Hammer Pro U.

The TrimUI Brick Pro is slightly taller and wider than previous TrimUI Brick handhelds.

The Brick Pro makes a few key changes from the Brick and Brick Hammer, though. For instance, TrimUI has swapped the 3,000 mAh battery in those handhelds for a 5,000 mAh alternative that supports 5V/2A charging. Also, the company has added two Hall effect joysticks, which sit beneath the D-pad and ABXY buttons in previously unoccupied space on the Brick and Brick Hammer.

Moreover, the Brick Pro contains a 3.95-inch IPS display, compared to the 3.2-inch panel found in the Brick and Brick Hammer. Panel resolution remains at 1,024 x 768 pixels, though. As a result, pixel density has dropped from 400 PPI to 324 PPI. Pricing starts at $99.99 with or without a 64 GB microSD card in a choice of Black, Grey and White finishes. Alternatively, 128 GB and 256 GB microSD card SKUs are available for $114.99 and $134.99, respectively. 10% can be taken off all orders by applying the coupon code BPO10 at checkout.
