The Duskbloods inches closer to launch as FromSoftware announces network test dates

FromSoftware has been working on The Duskbloods for quite some time now, and while there is no release date, it has been confirmed to launch this year. Now, it looks like the team is inching closer to launch with a network test scheduled for August.

The announcement was made on the official website and explains that a pre-release version of the game will be opened up to players to test its performance. Up to eight players will be able to participate together in matches. It will be a large-scale network load test that starts on August 21 and ends on August 23. Applications will be live from July 22 to July 28, and FromSoftware will announce the selected applicants on August 7.

The Duskbloods is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive title, so of course, you would need a Switch 2 and an active Nintendo Online membership.

It is still unclear when the game will officially launch, but if everything goes well in the August network test, it could launch as early as September. The further it is pushed back, the closer it comes to GTA 6’s November launch. Considering it’s a Switch 2 exclusive, that might not hurt sales as much.

FromSoftware has also been working on the Switch 2 version of Elden Ring, which will launch on August 28.
