Specs leak reveals Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide) upgrades

After rumors recently revealed details about the cameras of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, TechManiacs was able to find out more details about the features of the Fold8 and Fold8 Wide. As usual, such rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, but most of the details mentioned are in line with previous rumors.
According to the rumors, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 will be slightly thinner and lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold7 ($1,769 on Amazon) at 4.1 millimeters and 210 grams, but will still have an approximately 14 percent larger 5,000 mAh battery, which can be charged with 45 watts instead of the previous 25 watts. Samsung is reportedly installing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and an improved 50 megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, with the 200 MP main camera and the two 10 MP selfie cameras being carried over unchanged from the Galaxy Z Fold7. TechManiacs does not provide any information on the telephoto camera.
The report only provides a few details about the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide - the more compact, presumably cheaper foldable is said to offer a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, but does not have a telephoto camera. At 4,800 mAh, the battery is said to be only slightly smaller than the Galaxy Z Fold8 and can also be charged with up to 45 watts. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide is to be equipped with a 7.6 inch display in 4:3 format and weigh around 200 grams. Details on the price of the next-generation foldables are not yet known.
