Earlier this year, Sony celebrated the 20th anniversary of God of War. As part of the celebration, it released wallpapers, merchandise, and a free in-game update for God of War Ragnarök, among others. However, it appears the celebration isn't over yet as it has announced a limited edition DualSense controller to mark the anniversary.
The God of War 20th Anniversary limited edition DualSense controller was announced during the September 24 State of Play livestream. The new controller is inspired by Kratos, the protagonist of the video game series. The controller is mostly light gray but features Kratos' red omega marking which covers the right shoulder and trigger buttons and runs across the action buttons and right handle.
The action buttons and D-pad also have red markings while the back has the text “God of War 20th Anniversary” written on it. Overall, the design is quite simple, but also eye-catching.
Sony says the limited edition controller will be available in limited quantities and will be available in the US for $84.99, €84.99 in Europe, £74.99 in the UK, and ¥12,480 in Japan. A standard DualSense Wireless Controller costs $74 on Amazon. The DualSense wireless controller – God of War 20th Anniversary Limited Edition will be available to pre-order starting at 10 AM (local time) on October 3. It will be sold on direct.playstation.com and at partner stores.
