PlayStation trophies will allow players to obtain exclusive products

Sony has just unveiled its new Franchise Rewards program, which allows players to purchase exclusive products if they earn certain trophies in games. And the first title to be included in this program is none other than Ghost of Tsushima.

The announcement was made via an article published on PlayStation blog and was also shared on X. Going into more detail, players who earn the Mono No Aware or Living Legend trophies for this game can purchase limited edition products from the official Ghost Rewards store. But be warned, as there are only two items currently available: a pin representing Jin Sakai's mask and a T-shirt featuring the island of Tsushima.

While this may seem like a poor reward, it's important to understand that this is only the beginning of this feature. Indeed, the Japanese company has confirmed that this program will be extended to Ghost of Yotei later this year.

But looking further ahead, the future remains unclear. It must be said that the stop of PlayStation Stars greatly disappointed PlayStation players, especially considering the many benefits it offered. However, it is possible that Franchise Rewards will replace this program, and as a result, other games could be affected. If this is the case, it would be possible to enjoy many exclusive products in the weeks and months to come, which would make the in-game trophies more appealing.
