Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the next game in the God of War license, even though there is very little information about it. But recently, new leaks suggest that Kratos will be back to face the Egyptian gods.
Although nothing has yet been announced by Santa Monica or PlayStation, several rumors are circulating about the next main game in the franchise. And Tom Henderson recently revealed in the latest Insider Gaming podcast that a new title is currently in the works. And that's not all, as he also points out that Kratos will be back in this game, equipped with an Egyptian sword.
In other words, players would be able to play as Kratos, and he could be accompanied by his son Atreus on his journey. And after battling the gods of Greek and Norse mythology, he could come face-to-face with Egyptian divinities, and if all this information are taken into account, it could well appeal to fans of the license, as Egyptian mythology is one of the richest in the world and is full of legends.
However, PlayStation and Santa Monica have not yet communicated on this subject, and in the absence of official information, it's best to remain cautious. In addition, numerous projects related to God of War are in development, such as this Amazon series. And for this new game, it will be necessary to correct certain flaws present in God of War Ragnarök, such as Atreus's backseat, which spoiled the experience for many players.
