Samsung's Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra have appeared in a detailed leak, revealing their displays, Dimensity 9500 chip, cameras, batteries and storage options. WinFuture reports that the tablets will launch on October 7, while Samsung has only confirmed a second-half 2026 release.

Samsung's next flagship tablets have appeared in a detailed specification leak. WinFuture reports that it obtained the information from official data sheets, although Samsung has not published the full specifications itself.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra in 2025. For 2026, Samsung is reportedly dropping the regular Galaxy Tab S12 and bringing back the Galaxy Tab S12+ instead. The Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra are expected to make up the new flagship lineup. Earlier certifications have also identified both models in Wi-Fi and cellular versions.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to have a 12.6-inch 2X Dynamic AMOLED display with a 2800 x 1752 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will have a larger 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 2960 x 1848 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Both tablets are reportedly powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9500. The same chip was previously spotted in a Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Geekbench listing.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is also expected to offer 12GB of RAM with 256GB or 512GB of storage, while an additional configuration with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage is reportedly planned. Both tablets are said to support microSD cards with up to 2TB of additional storage.

The camera setups will also differ between the two models. The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to have a 13MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will add an 8MP ultrawide camera to its 13MP main rear camera, while retaining the 12MP front camera. Both models are said to have front cameras with a wide field of view, and video recording is expected to support up to 4K at 60 fps.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to have a 10,600mAh battery, up from the 10,090mAh battery in the Galaxy Tab S10+ (currently available on Amazon). The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to have an 11,600mAh battery, matching the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Both tablets are reportedly capable of up to 45W wired charging.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ is also expected to have two stereo speakers, compared with four speakers on the Galaxy Tab S10+. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to have four speakers, matching the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Both tablets are expected to have aluminum bodies with IP68 protection against water and dust.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to weigh 555 grams (1.22 lb), compared with 571 grams (1.26 lb) for the Wi-Fi version of the Galaxy Tab S10+. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to weigh 693 grams (1.53 lb), compared with 692 grams (1.53 lb) for the Wi-Fi version of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is also expected to measure 5.1mm thick, matching the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.

Both tablets are expected to run Android 17 with Samsung's One UI 9.0. The Galaxy Tab S12+ is also reported to include an S Pen. Wi-Fi and 5G versions are expected for both models, with the 5G versions reportedly costing €200 more.

Pricing and availability

The leaked European pricing starts at €1,299 (about $1491) for the Galaxy Tab S12+ with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is reportedly priced from €1,539 (about $1768) with the same RAM and storage configuration. These prices come from the leaked information and have not been officially announced by Samsung.

WinFuture reports that the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra will launch on October 7, 2026. Samsung, however, has only confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S12 series is planned for the second half of 2026.
