Reviews for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 SM-T590N

81% Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 (SM-T590N) Tablet Review | Notebookcheck
The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is Samsung's update of its mid-range Galaxy Tab A 10.1 tablet. The 10.5-inch Android device is supposed to set itself apart from its competition with its WUXGA display, Dolby Atmos sound, a family-friendly kids mode and long battery runtimes.

70% Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 Review
Source: NDTV Gadgets English Archive.org version
In India, we don't have a lot of choice when it comes to Android tablets, as Samsung is pretty much the only manufacturer with an up-to-date portfolio. At Rs. 29,990, the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is one of the better models of this size around. It has updated software and LTE functionality, great battery life, good build quality, a sleek design, and terrific sounding speakers. On the other hand, the processor is too weak to even consider doing any serious work or gaming. There also aren't many accessories that are easily available.

65% Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5-inch Review
Source: Think Digit English Archive.org version
As a content consumption device, the tablet works well. It has a decent display with a good resolution, but the viewing angles suffer. The audio is legible, but I wish the speakers packed some bass and represented the background scores of movies better. When it comes to performance and battery life, the device gets the job done well. You can play all the games from the play store, run movie streaming services, and multitask with ease. For the price, it will satisfy those looking for a device that can be great for content consumption and making the occasional phone call.

75% Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 review: The go-to Android tablet
Source: India Today English Archive.org version
The Galaxy Tab A is a pretty basic Android tablet that works well as a multimedia device. It has a bright and vivid display that's quite immersive thanks to its tall form factor, but I feel Samsung could have reduced the bezels further if it had to remove the home button. It also comes with pretty good battery life with fast charging support and a simple yet easy to hold design. It's a device that is for you if you're not looking for a particularly productivity-focused tablet.

Qualcomm Adreno 506: Integrated graphics card in the Snapdragon 625 SoC and based on the new 500-series architecture with support for Vulkan, OpenGL ES 3.1 + AE (3.2) and UBWC.

Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Graphics Cards and the corresponding Benchmark List.

SD 450: Lower mainstream octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 SoC clocked at up to 1.8 GHz and the Adreno 506 GPU, a LPDDR3 single channel memory controller as well as an X9 LTE (Cat. 7 300 / 150 Mbps) modem.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

10.50":

This is a standard display format for tablet computers or small convertibles. You see more on the screen than on a smartphone but you can't use big resolutions well. On the other hand, mobility is not a problem.

Samsung: Samsung Group is the largest South Korean conglomerate and was founded in 1938. Samsung Group employed 489,000 people in 2014 and is one of the world's largest companies in terms of revenue and market strength. The name Samsung means "Three Stars" in Korean and represents the three sons of the company's founder. The company was founded in 1938 as a grocery store. With its subsidiary Samsung Electronics, founded in 1969, Samsung took up the production of electrotechnical items, focusing on consumer electronics and household appliances at an early stage. Other branches in which the large corporation is active include mechanical engineering, automobiles (Hyundai), insurance, wholesale, real estate and leisure. Samsung manufactures a wide range of electronic products, including smartphones, televisions, home appliances and semiconductors. The company's Galaxy line of smartphones is one of the most popular in the world. Samsung is also a major player in the semiconductor industry, making memory chips and processors for many other electronics manufacturers.

73.83%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
