The 15.6 inch 8573TG proves to have a stable system with good workmanship and first rate computing power. However, the notebook with the anti-glare screen mutates to a small heater when it's put under enough stress.

Infinite Power. What is faster than one mobile high-end graphics card? Correct: TWO mobile high-end graphic cards. Enthusiasts who are looking to get the most performance they can get from their notebooks will want either Nvidia's GeForce GTX 580M SLI or AMD's Radeon HD 6990M CrossFire system.

An illusion? LG's 14 inch laptop is particularly slim and its dimensions approximately correspond to those of a 13.3 inch device. Nevertheless, LG successfully installs an almost frameless, 14 inch screen. Does LG's P420 anything else to offer? Read here.

Mobile Typewriter. With the 635-series, HP introduces a new generation of low cost notebooks. The price for the 15 inch unit at roughly 350 Euro is surprising. What other surprises should we count on with this bargain unit? We wanted to find out exactly in this review.

Little office worker. According to Lenovo, it's introducing a notebook that is to save time and money with the ThinkPad L420. We're putting the ThinkPad L420 with an Intel Core i5-2520M processor through its paces.

Evolution. Dell launched a slim and portable line in its entry-level business range with the Vostro V130. It's also supposed to convince in terms of design. Powerful Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs follow the first attempts with ULV processors. A few modifications have also been made on the case. Our comprehensive review now follows the preview.

Lost values. For a mere 420 Euros Lenovo is offering the ThinkPad Edge E325; a 13.3 inch subnotebook. The display is non-reflective, the battery life lasts for up to nine hours, and AMD Fusion provides for a smooth presentation of HD movies. Yet older qualities of the ThinkPad genre, such as the known robustness, received less attention.

A step backwards. The 13.3 inch E320 subnotebook presents itself to buyers with the strength of a standard CPU, a matte display, good input devices, and seven hours of mobile use. The usual ThinkPad robustness can however no longer be relied upon.

King of the Hill? AMD follows Nvidia's lead by expanding its High-End graphic card line. The Radeon HD 6990M is the brand new top gun of the AMD mobile graphic cards and stands in direct competition to the equally fast, but far more expensive, GeForce GTX 580M. Will AMD win this fight?

Hybrid Satellite. Two hard disks, a quad core without throttling and gaming graphics. Will the low contrast panel and ergonomic data let the hopes of multimedia fade?

Digitalizer. The successful ThinkPad X220 range continues its predecessors' tradition and also has a convertible model in its new revision available. The X220t, with a rotating screen, digitizer and touchscreen, has to show it's qualities in the following review.

Turbo Air. After the refresh of the Air’s case in autumn of last year, we now see completely new internal hardware based on Intel’s Sandy Bridge technology. The extremely thin aluminium chassis remains unchanged, still setting the bar for attractiveness, overall feel, and slenderness.

Latecomer. While 3D with shutter glasses is state of the art and Toshiba 3D enters the market without eyeglasses, LG revives the old polarizer technology. But the FHD screen with its high contrast and the strong quad core hardware is interesting even without 3D.

1, 2, or 3D? LG highlights innovations with the V900 Optimus Pad. The 8.9 inch, handy tablet can create and play three dimensional videos. The pad also scores with a brilliant IPS screen. The LG product is also interesting in view of its price. It's supposed to cost 800 euros with a 32 GB memory and 3G module.

Multifaceted. 15 inch multimedia notebooks have always been popular. MSI's new GE620-i748W7P notebook offers an allround platform based on the Sandy-Bridge technology. The new laptop entices buyers with a quad-core CPU, a middle class graphics card and the Nvidia Optimus technology.

Dark Room. The smallest EliteBook feels quite heavy in the suitcase with a weight of 2 kgs. Still, it manages to deal with everyday tasks without a problem. To find out why the mobility suffers, despite the matt display and 6 hours run time, take a look at the following in-depth review.

An average model. Toshiba adds a 17 inch desktop replacement with the latest Sandy Bridge hardware to the market with the Satellite L775-125. Moreover, there is an Nvidia GeForce GT 525M that makes gaming possible.

Workstation deluxe. Professional users who don't want to make any compromises in terms of performance and features might prick their ears up when hearing about the 17 inch Xirios W710. Schenker has provided us with one of the most expensive, with a price of around 7000 euros, and fastest devices that we have ever had in review.

Phase-out model. The Finnish mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia, ventured into the netbook sector in 2009 with the Booklet 3G. Brilliant Entertainer. Sony has introduced a new member of the Vaio C series. As well as a Full HD display and Blu-ray drive, it has an Intel processor from the latest Sandy Bridge range and an AMD graphics card. Worker in black. Toshiba enlarges its business notebook family with the Tecra R840-11E that promises high mobility and high performance. The Tecra R840-11E, with an i5-2520M CPU, incorporated HD 3000 graphics and a conventional 320 GB HDD is to cost steep 1349 euros. We comprehensively checked how the laptop fares in the test.

Evolution. In launching the Vostro V130, Dell started a slim and mobile entry-level business series, which should also convince in terms of design. Powerful Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs succeed the first tries with ULV processors. The case has been amended too.

Netbook plus. Atom is out - Fusion makes the better mobile companion. The smallest IdeaPad now also benefits from that what gave the APU subnotebooks from Toshiba, HP and Sony good portability and HD suitability.

Budget notebook made better. The ThinkPad X120e with its AMD Fusion core marked a significant improvement over the 2010 X100e, but does the Sandy Bridge-equipped X121e bring enough to the table to supplant the award-winning X120e?

Big brother. Samsung stocks up and now adds a big series member to the market with the Galaxy Tab 10.1v. The 10.1 inch screen (1280x800 pixels), a fairly slim plastic case, the Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core chip and Android 3.0 are the key features of the latest tablet PC.

Balancing for business. HP’s latest laptop in the ProBook S-series aims to balance form, function and specifications for professional users on a budget. Does it combine these demands into a solid business laptop?

Can the duo, consisting of a quad core CPU and Nvidia's Quadro 1000M, impress in the workstation? What does it look like in terms of display, system noise and battery life?

Cubicle Fixture. Ever since its little brother got some attention as part of the "Intel TESTIT!2011" notebook testing pool, the HP Pavilion g7 Office notebook has been aching for its moment in the spotlight. For 499 Euro (RRP), Hewlett Packard is offering a 17.3" laptop with an AMD quad-core processor and Radeon HD 6470M graphics card. Does this inexpensive office notebook give you enough bang for your buck, or should you dish out for better performance?

Business Subnotebook. Toshiba has released the Satellite R830, a 13.3-inch subnotebook that could be of particular interest to business customers. The small, light laptop stands out with its stylish appearance, good battery life and built-in solid state drive.

Student snack. Punctually for the summer business Sony has refreshed the Vaio palette and now offers the VPC-SB2L1E/W as an affordable subnotebook with an Intel Core i3-2310M CPU, AMD Radeon HD 6470M On/Off graphics, and a matte 13.3 inch display, which is aimed at students. Price: 799 Euros (RRP).

Anti-Glare. Lenovo upgrades its ThinkPad Edge models by adding an eSata port and a matt panel. The input devices remain first-class. The ultimate companion for the road available for 399 Euros?

Key downgrade. Lenovo tinkers around on its budget ThinkPad and gives the mini a matt screen as well as a new Athlon processor. However, we're taken aback in view of the 32 watt hour battery. Will the upgrade downgrade the previously very good mobility?

Multi-talent. Work, play and even a mobile light weight. Is the 13.3 incher overestimating itself? The specs are awesome: strong Radeon graphics, Core i7 and turbo SSD. But the price is too: just under 2400 euros.

Inexpensive entertainer. HP's dv7-6101eg is a powerful 17-inch notebook, which will appeal to multimedia fans and also occasional gamers, thanks to its Blu-Ray drive and decent graphics card. We put it to the test, to see whether HP has produced a well-rounded package or whether it has tried to save money in the wrong places.

Frame-Master. The Alienware M18x rocks with Crossfire HD 6970M. The ThinkPad X220 and the Fujitsu Lifebook NH751 inspire with good displays. The Motorola Xoom delights us with a battery life of 15 hours. The Aspire One 722 cannot achieve this, but, can smoothly play 1080p videos via HDMI.

Courage to be unique. Gigabyte tries to build a 15.6 inch multimedia notebook that can serve with Nvidia's Optimus technology besides a high definition screen and a quad core processor. Read here if the P2532N is worth its money.

Fusion for the People. With the combination of a fast HD 6000 graphics card and a quad-core processor similar to an Athlon II, AMD is attempting to stir up the entry level market segment. So the notebook should be an all-rounder, a typewriter, number cruncher, and DVD player in one, and able to handle some older games. Quad all-rounder. Samsung responds to the high demand on the previous model, RF510, with a revision called RF511. Graphics and processor performance have been upgraded to a quad core and Fermi. The perfect all-rounder?

Nothing special. The Japanese company, Fujitsu, brings out a 10.1 inch tablet based on the new Intel Oak Trail range called Stylistic Q550. The IPS display, Intel's Atom Z670 single core CPU, the built-in GMA 600 graphics and the OS, Windows 7, are especially aimed at businesses. It starts at 699 euros (RRP) with a memory capacity of 30 GB as a non-UMTS model.

Finger replacement? Finger use on the iPad is intuitive, simple and fast in response. Nevertheless, you'd want a more accurate input option for some tasks, which also has the positive side effect of not leaving fingerprints behind. Boxy Business Notebook. A vivid, high-quality display? The Elitebooks constitute the best that HP has to offer in terms of business laptops. Can the 2011 series maintain this good reputation or even improve it?

TestIT!2011, the third. The Japanese manufacturer, Toshiba, also takes part in the big notebook test 2011 with the Satellite L755-14P. Here we go again. The question "dual- or quad-core CPU?" has been a fixture in our forums for quite a while. Those looking to play recent games on their laptops seem to be particularly concerned with this decision. So, we decided to resolve the issue by testing the gaming performance of five Sandy Bridge CPUs in one High End notebook.

Not for Sale? Currently, no shop in Germany is selling the new HP Pavilion dv6 in our test configuration, although both its price and hardware seem very interesting. The HD 6770M graphic chip of the notebook promises gaming power. In addition, the quad-core CPU and 8 GB RAM should deliver great performance. Still, is it worth the wait?

TestIT!2011, the second. Asus sends the X53E into the race for the Intel test campaign. The laptop, also equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor and its incorporated HD 3000 graphics unit, is supposed to especially stick out from the competition optically and haptically with a case made of aluminum parts.

Underestimated Expert. Small, mobile mass storage devices with convenient capacity lead a niche existence and disappear from the shelves by and by. We fetched one of the last representative of external 1.8" hard drives and scrutinized it.

Surround system. The new 18 inch flagship comes with the quad core processor, Intel Core i7-2630QM, and the Nvidia GeForce GT 555M graphics solution. Not only are the 16 GB RAM and the installed speedy SSD striking, but the touchpad as well. It can be removed and used as a remote control. The steep price for the notebook: 1699 euros.

AMD power? Asus is constantly increasing its Eee PC range. Now the Taiwanese company has also ventured a try basing its smallest series' member on AMD. The 10 inch netbook is available with the entry level APUs, AMD C-30 or C-50 including the incorporated AMD Radeon HD 6250 for the graphics unit (DirectX 11). Price: starts at 250 euros. Is the attempt worth it or should you continue to rely on Intel netbooks?

Down-to-earth. That's the best way to describe the new HP entry level business notebook. A new case design, solid construction, and up-to-date hardware, as well as a 15.6 inch display, are the most important prerequisites. New strengths. The new Asus G74 was already seen at the Cebit this year in Hanover, even if as a mock-up. A heart for gamers. The game machine expert, Schenker, has expanded its successful P range by a new graphics card. The 15 inch XMG P501 PRO is now available with Nvidia's fervently awaited GeForce GTX 560M. Read in this review if the notebook can live up to the slogan "Xtreme Mobile Gaming".

Ultraportable budget ThinkPad. The 2011 ThinkPad X120e is the upgrade to last year’s ultra-mobile X100e and is marketed as one of the cheapest ThinkPads around. It is also the first Lenovo notebook to feature an AMD Fusion E-350 APU with integrated Radeon 6310 graphics. We tested the ThinkPad X220 to see if this was true.

IceCool. Asus is trying to appeal to the mainstream with its new K53SV multimedia notebook. The 15 inch device should impress with its Intel Core i5-2410M dual-core processor, as well as the GeForce GT 540M graphics card from Nvidia. In addition to this the neat case also contains a Blu-ray drive.

I believe I can fly. It's finally here – the tablet from HTC. The new device is called Flyer and has a 7 inch touchscreen that can display a resolution of 1024x600 pixels. New in old. The Taiwanese Company, Asus, has also refreshed its netbook line-up and now offers the Eee PC 1215B. An AMD C-50 APU, including the dedicated AMD Radeon HD 6250 graphics, a 2 GB DDR3 RAM and a 320 GB hard disk capacity in a familiar case awaits us. The Eee-deal solution for 349 euros (RRP)?

Price breaker. While everyone is into slim line with aluminum looks, Fujitsu brings out a roundly 14 incher with a matt screen for use out in the sun. It is the cheapest Core i5 in 13 and 14 inches for starting at 549 euros.

"Top" designer. Lenovo supplies a 13 inch subnotebook with the latest second generation Intel Core processors with the IdeaPad Z370. The glass pane covering the screen, on the other hand, is a step in the direction of consumer laptops.

Elegant powerhouse. The HP Elitebook 8560p-LQ589AW really stands out with its new and high-end platinum-style aluminium case. And then there’s the hardware: a second generation Core i5 processor, HD graphics from AMD and a large 15.6-inch matt display. The HP notebook costs around €1200 in this configuration. A real steal, given the current price of precious metal?

Inner values. A lot of power for little money is Lenovo's promise for its IdeaPad Y560P. The configuration sounds good: Intel's quad core processor, Core i7-2630QM, and AMD's Radeon HD 6570M as the graphics card are installed for a price of only 900 euros. This review will shed light on the notebook's true capabilities and if there maybe is a hitch.

Low cost expert. Light, long battery life, and well put together. With the low end version of the Portégé R830 from Toshiba premium business is now affordable. The question is whether the claims of an ideal picture quality are also true?

This 18 inch model is not only visually impressive, it also packs the latest hardware under its hood. The perfect replacement for the everyday desktop PC?

Switch it, baby! AMD is finally stepping up against Nvidia's well-established Optimus technology and throwing a counterpunch in the form of the PowerXPress 4.0. The first notebooks to showcase this new dynamic switchable graphics technology are already available. Can Nvidia maintain control of this niche or will AMD prove itself a force to be reckoned with?

Family gathering. Now the last of the new Vostro notebooks, the Vostro 3450, also comes to us. The compact notebook is at the start with a 14 inch screen and AMD's new switchable graphics.

The good years are past. Dell has put its XPS range on a diet and re-places the result as the XPS z-series. You wouldn't quite believe that it is a successor of the exclusive Adamo, which was considered to be an opponent of the MacBook Air at the time. Be that as it may, connoisseurs of good design will nevertheless be satisfied.
