Gamescom 2025 started last night and many games made an appearance to the delight of fans around the world. And one of them, which is particularly awaited by the players, unveiled a new trailer that tells us more about its story.
Thus, the Gamescom Opening Night Live plunged everyone into horror with a new trailer of Resident Evil Requiem. And by watching it, it is possible to learn more about the main character that players will embody and who is none other than Grace Ashcroft.
As a result, in a video of more than three minutes, a strange voice can be heard during a mysterious phone call. Following this event, Grace Ashcroft and her mother Alyssa Ashcroft want to escape from the hotel they were staying in. However, as they try to leave, the power is cut and zombies attack the two women. As for what happens next, fans of the franchise are already familiar with it, as Grace Ashcroft returns a few years later to investigate this hotel as an FBI agent.
Nevertheless, if this new trailer about the next Resident Evil may please players, it remains rather poor in information. And yet, this title offers many features like a first-person and third-person mode. And that’s not all, because you will also have the opportunity to dive back into the mythical city of Raccoon City and discover the terrible secrets of Umbrella Corporation.
There's another element that's likely to displease long-time fans. It must be said that at the moment, no information is available regarding a potential appearance of Leon S. Kennedy. In other words, it will certainly be necessary to be patient to discover if this much appreciated character will be present in this new game. And as a reminder, Resident Evil Requiem will be released on February 27, 2026 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
