According to an insider, two games from the Resident Evil franchise will benefit from a remake and could be released in the next few years. But it is necessary to take this information with caution, because Capcom has not yet communicated on this subject.

Resident Evil has been a hugely successful license worldwide for many years. And if all eyes are on Resident Evil Requiem scheduled for February 27, 2026, two remakes of legendary games seem currently in preparation according to an insider.

It is important to note that remakes are very popular these days. This is because they allow players to play or replay games that were released several years ago and have left their mark on the history of video games. But that’s not all, because developers don't hesitate to update them, whether for graphics or gameplay.

Therefore, according to the insider AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem on X, Resident Evil Code: Veronica and Resident Evil Zero could benefit from a remake. Moreover, he does not hesitate to make a rather surprising prediction, because he specifies that these two games should be released in 2027 or 2028.

However, while this may delight many fans of the license, we must be cautious. Indeed, no official announcement has been made by Capcom on this subject, and it will be necessary to keep an eye on the studio's future announcements.

Nevertheless, these remakes will be made on two games very appreciated by the fans of the franchise. It must be said that Resident Evil Zero, which was released on the GameCube in 2002, is a prequel of the first title. In this game, you play as Rebecca Chambers and the prisoner Billy Coen. Of course, the goal is to survive while facing creatures that will leave you no chance.

For its part, Resident Evil Code: Veronica is rather atypical. Indeed, it left its mark on gamers not only for its astonishing story, in which Claire Redfield finds herself a prisoner on an island infested with creatures of all kinds, but also for the puzzles to be solved in certain levels. And a remake of this game could certainly bring back many memories for gamers.
