Retailers have started revealing the price of the ROG Strix XG129C. Listed in Australia and the UK, the Asus ROG Strix XG129C contains a 12.3-inch display, dual USB Type-C ports and an adjustable kickstand for use on a desk as a small secondary monitor.

Last week, Asus presented the ROG Strix XG129C alongside a new 34-inch gaming monitor. Rivalling Corsair's Xeneon Edge, the ROG Strix XG129C is also a much smaller alternative to Asus' ZenScreen portable monitors like the ZenScreen MB169CK that launched last summer (curr. $107.99 on Amazon).

Specifically, the ROG Strix XG129C spans 12.3-inches diagonally within a frame that measures 304 x 130 x 24 mm. Also, the IPS panel outputs at 1,920 x 720 pixels, a relatively unusual resolution that correlates with a 24:9 aspect ratio. According to Asus, the display delivers up to 300 nits too, as well as a 75 Hz refresh rate, 90% DCI-P3 and 125% sRGB colour space coverages.

Moreover, the ROG Strix XG129C offers 10-point capacitive touch support and seven colour temperature modes. As the picture above shows, a pair of USB Type-C ports occupy the display's left-hand side with support for 20 W Power Delivery and DisplayPort Alt Mode. The XG129C can also be powered directly via USB Type-C at 10 W. Asus includes a full-sized HDMI 1.2 port too for maximising device compatibility.

The ROG Strix XG129C has appeared in the UK for £180.05 excluding Value Added Tax (VAT) (~$244), which rises to £216.06 when including VAT (~$293). Meanwhile, the monitor has surfaced in Australia for AUD 300 (~$217) retail, or AUD $272 (~$197) excluding the country's 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST). Although expensive, Asus hopes to offset these prices by bundling a year's AIDA64 Extreme subscription worth $65.
