It has sort of become an unwritten rule for popular games to get a limited edition controller, and the latest game to get the treatment is Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. Sony's PlayStation has announced the DualSense wireless controller – Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Limited Edition ahead of the game's release on June 26, 2025.
Sony says it worked closely with Kojima Productions to design the controller. The new controller comes in black and is customized with the insignia and motto of Drawbridge in a bright orange hue. The insignia and motto can be seen on the controller's touchpad. There are also markings on the handles while the back has the name of the game inscribed on it.
The DualSense wireless controller – Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Limited Edition will be available to pre-order starting on May 22 at 10 AM local time. It will cost $84.99 in the US, €84.99 in Europe, £74.99 in the UK, and ¥12,480 in Japan. The controller will be available on June 26, 2025, the same date Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will be released.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will be exclusive to the PS5 (available on Amazon for $499) when it debuts, but like the original, we can expect it to come to PC and Xbox in the future.
