Official: DJI confirms Osmo Pocket 4 Pro vlogging camera release with 'exceptional vision'

DJI has just launched the Osmo Pocket 4 after months of leaks and rumours. Replacing the Osmo Pocket 3 (curr. $499 on Amazon), the Osmo Pocket 4 surpasses its predecessor in numerous areas. Not least of which, DJI's new vlogging camera contains an upgraded 1-inch CMOS camera sensor.

However, the company has already confirmed that the Osmo Pocket 4 will not be its latest vlogging camera for long. Instead, it has now teased the release of the Osmo Pocket 4 Pro on Chinese social media. Incidentally, DJI refers to its next action camera as the 'Osmo Pocket 4P' rather than the Osmo Pocket 4 Pro.

Setting that aside, the company has confirmed a crucial difference between the Osmo Pocket 4 and its Pro counterpart ahead of time. Namely, the Osmo Pocket 4P will launch with a dedicated 3x zoom lens. Given that the standard Osmo Pocket 4 supports up to 4x digital zoom, we suspect that its Pro sibling features 3x optical zoom with digital zoom beyond 4x.

Moreover, the Osmo Pocket 4P includes a 1-inch style primary camera and the new hardware buttons found on the Osmo Pocket 4. For the time being, DJI only adds that the Osmo Pocket 4P is 'set to make a grand debut' with 'exceptional vision'. Recent rumours suggest that DJI's first dual-lens vlogging camera will arrive in June 2026.
