Leica M11-P full-frame camera receives brand new Limited Edition

The Leica M11-P ($10,882 on Amazon) was originally launched in 2023, Rumors suggest that the launch of the Leica M12 is approaching. For those who don't want to wait that long, Leica is now offering a new limited edition of the Leica M11-P.
The so-called Leica M11-P Chicago Edition 17 will be introduced at the opening of the Leica Store Chicago, and will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of Leica's own stores - since the opening of the first Leica Store in Japan, a total of 120 stores have been opened around the globe. The camera is based on the silver Leica M11-P, but the metal is apparently given a slightly darker finish, while the leather is finished in the color boysenberry, i.e. dark red.
This color is reminiscent of the red bricks used to construct the building of the Leica Store Chicago. Technically, the Limited Edition corresponds to the conventional Leica M11-P, so it still does without autofocus and image stabilization. Instead, the camera features a bright rangefinder and a 60 megapixel full-frame sensor. Details of the technical data can be found on Leica's website.
Prices and availability
The Leica M11-P Chicago Edition 17 will be available exclusively at the new Leica Store Chicago starting April 30th. Although Leica has not yet confirmed any details about the price, the Limited Edition is likely to cost at least as much as the regular Leica M11-P, which is currently offered for $10,400.
