Oppo Find X9 Ultra: Hands-on videos reveal massive Hasselblad zoom lens kit

Days before its official global debut on April 21, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is dominating headlines, YouTube, and social media posts. Now, unboxing videos and marketing images give us a preview of the flagship’s “Hasselblad Earth Explorer Master Kit”, which comes with a massive (literally) 300mm teleconverter and an elaborate camera grip/case.
The long 300mm teleconverter lens is designed to enhance the phone’s already impressive optical zoom, providing a ~4.28x magnification that takes the new Ultra’s optical reach significantly farther. Bear in mind that the 300mm teleconverter seems to be specifically designed to work with the 200MP 3x zoom camera.
Here is what the extended zoom capabilities of the Oppo Find X9 Ultra would look like - at least if Oppo allowed users to attach the teleconverter over both optical zoom cameras:
- 3x telephoto (200MP, 1/1.28-inch, f/2.2) - goes from 70mm to a 300mm (~13x)
- 10x telephoto (50MP, 1/2.75-inch, f/3.5) - goes from 230mm to ~1,000mm (~43x) - pretty staggering, but you'll probably need a tripod to get usable results

Despite the impressive numbers, there is an obvious question of redundancy around the Oppo Find X9 Ultra’s 300mm teleconverter. The external lens puts the 200MP sensor at a 13x reach, which isn't far off the native 10x optical camera the Ultra heavily leans on.
While carrying extra glass isn't for everyone, Oppo clearly feels obligated to challenge Vivo and Xiaomi, which also offer teleconverters with their flagships. Either way, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is shaping up to be the most versatile camera of 2026 - or should we say the most versatile camera that also happens to make phone calls.
According to Oppo, the camera specs of the Find X9 Ultra are as follows:
- Primary camera: 200MP Sony LYT-901 (1/1.12-inch, f/1.5, 23 mm)
- 3x periscope zoom camera: 200MP OmniVision OV52A (1/1.28-inch, f/2.2, 70 mm)
- 10x periscope zoom camera: 50MP ISOCELL JNL (1/2.75-inch, f/3.5, 230 mm)
- Ultra-wide-angle camera: 50MP Sony LYT-600 (1/1.95-inch, f/2.0, 14 mm)
