DJI Osmo Pocket 4 footage hints at new cinematic video mode hours before launch

Just hours before the official global launch, a new DJI Osmo Pocket 4 teaser has surfaced, taking us into the neon vibe of Hong Kong. The footage showcases a cinematic "slow shutter" effect, where city lights and crowds melt into each other.
For those new to cinematography, slow shutter (or "long exposure" in photos) keeps the camera's “eye” open longer for each frame. While standard video captures realistic 24/30fps movement, a slow shutter blurs anything in motion into trails of light - like car headlights or walking pedestrians.
Osmo Pocket 4’s new "Custom" button might be how you toggle different video modes on/off
Shared by DJI, the teaser suggests that the Osmo Pocket 4 might be introducing a dedicated "slow shutter mode". If that’s the case, you might be able to toggle the mode on/off instantly via the Pocket 4’s new "Custom" (C) button - before you miss the moment.
While tomorrow’s Osmo Pocket 4 launch focuses on the standard model, recent Osmo Pocket 4 Pro leaks suggest a dual-camera version with 4x optical zoom could follow as early as June 2026.
The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 officially arrives tomorrow, April 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM GMT.
