Dual-camera Insta360 Luna Ultra coming for Osmo Pocket 4's crown, says leak

The Osmo Pocket 3 has been one of the world's best-selling video cameras for the past few years, so it is only natural that the success of DJI’s gimbal camera would attract competition. While the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is just days away from its official debut on April 16, we may have just discovered the name of its first true rival.
According to the latest leak on X, the new gimbal camera challenger to the Osmo Pocket 4 is named the "Insta360 Luna Ultra." It is reportedly powered by a 1,550 mAh battery, which is larger than the Osmo Pocket 3’s 1,300 mAh cell.

Insta 360 Luna Ultra coming for the DJI Osmo Pocket 4's crown; is Insta360 preparing to launch two gimbal cameras?
It remains unclear whether this "Ultra" model is the same "Insta360 Luna" camera previously pictured and reported in leaks. However, since the leaked images showcase a dual-camera setup (likely offering 3x optical zoom), we’re most likely looking at the "Ultra" variant rather than a "vanilla" Insta360 Luna - if the vanilla version even exists.
That said, it is entirely possible that Insta360 is preparing two versions of the Luna - one with a single camera to compete directly with the Osmo Pocket 4, and a dual-camera "Ultra" model. Remember, rumors of an "Osmo Pocket 4 Pro" featuring dual cameras are also circulating, though DJI has yet to confirm the existence of the “Pocket 4 Pro’.
As a reminder, the leaked Insta360 Luna Ultra features more physical controls than the Osmo Pocket 4. These include a joystick, a dedicated zoom lever, a record button, and two additional buttons adjacent to the rotating screen - likely allowing users to toggle custom settings such as ISO, gimbal locks, or audio levels.
The Insta360 Luna Ultra is also rumored to be "modular," though it remains to be seen if this refers to simple magnetic mounts (like the magnetic fill light with the Osmo Pocket 4), or something more ambitious.
