Android already copying the newly leaked iPhone 18 Pro color, says reputable source

If you like the orange iPhone 17 Pro so much that you’d actually buy one, you might want to act fast. According to the latest industry rumors, the vibrant "Cosmic Orange" iPhone color option won't be sticking around for long, which means the orange wave of Android phones be over too.
Reputable leaker Digital Chat Station has weighed in on the iPhone 18 Pro series, backing up earlier claims from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The consensus is that Apple is now considering a "Deep Red" as the next hero color for the iPhone 18 Pro series.
According to the leaked information, “prototypes for upcoming Android flagship phones are heavily featuring this (Deep Red) shade”. Digital Chat Station is implying that major Android phone makers are already “following” Cupertino's planned color trend to directly compete with Apple in terms of design - once the iPhone 18 Pro is out.

Apple has a history of rotating its "special edition" colors. Here are the “hero” colors we saw with past iPhone Pro models:
- iPhone 12 Pro: Pacific Blue
- iPhone 13 Pro: Sierra Blue
- iPhone 14 Pro: Deep Purple
- iPhone 15 Pro: Blue Titanium
- iPhone 16 Pro: Desert Titanium
- iPhone 17 Pro: Cosmic Orange
The alleged “Deep Red” iPhone 18 Pro raises questions about the retired “(PRODUCT)RED” lineup of iPhones. The last Apple phones to feature the charitable branding were the iPhone 14 and iPhone SE (3rd Gen). Whether "Deep Red" is a premium evolution of that Apple initiative or just a “coincidence” - we'll have to wait and see.
