Verdict - Versatile Windows convertible with solid features, but high price level
With the Ninkear S13, the manufacturer offers a versatile 2-in-1 device that is clearly aimed at productive users. Thanks to the Windows operating system, integrated kickstand and magnetic keyboard, the device is suitable for classic office tasks as well as multimedia and mobile use. The built-in Intel Core Ultra 5 115U delivers sufficient performance for everyday tasks, multitasking and typical work applications. The overall package is complemented by a fast SSD, a high-resolution 13-inch display in 16:10 format and a practical selection of connections including USB-A.
In everyday use, the device is particularly impressive thanks to its flexibility and the combination of tablet and notebook functionality. The display scores with its high resolution and decent sharpness, but shows certain weaknesses in terms of brightness, contrast and color accuracy. The panel is therefore less suitable for professional image editing. The speakers are also not one of the device's highlights.
Pros
Cons
Price and availability
The Ninkear S13 is available from the manufacturer for 859 Euro. The discount code "S13Ninkear" reduces the price to 659 Euro.
The manufacturer is launching a Windows tablet on the market that is positioned in a price range below 1,000 euros. The device is primarily aimed at productive users and combines practical features with a high level of suitability for everyday use. An Intel Core Ultra 5 115U works inside, together with 16 GB RAM. The high-resolution display in 16:10 format offers plenty of space for productive work. The device is also generously equipped with a fast SSD with 1 TB of storage space.
Specifications
Housing & equipment
The Ninkear S13 has a slim design with a casing that gives an overall impression of quality. The hinged stand on the back is sturdy and clearly reminiscent of well-known Microsoft tablets. The strong similarity to the Alldocube iWork GT Ultra is striking, as both devices are apparently built on the same or an equivalent housing base. The scope of delivery includes a keyboard cover that is magnetically docked to the underside. The upper part can be angled and also serves as additional stabilization and protection, which works reliably in practice. The keyboard cover fits well overall, but can come loose a little more easily than on more expensive devices if you move it around a lot.
The device itself is around 10 mm thin and weighs around 870 grams. With the keyboard docked, the overall weight increases noticeably and the overall height also increases slightly. At around 240 grams, the power supply unit is typical for this performance class.
In terms of features, the Ninkear S13 offers modern standards such as Wi-Fi 6 (in a simple 1x1 configuration), Bluetooth 5.2 and a practical selection of ports. In addition to two USB-C ports, a classic USB-A port is also available, which proves to be particularly practical in everyday use. Maintenance options are not provided. A front camera and a rear camera with autofocus are installed for video conferencing and occasional recordings, which deliver solid results overall.

Input devices
The capacitive touchscreen of the Ninkear S13 impresses with good gliding properties and responds precisely to inputs. It can also be used with a stylus, which fits comfortably in the hand but cannot be attached directly to the device.
The supplied keyboard cover has a backlight, although the key travel is rather shallow and the inputs can be somewhat louder. Overall, the typing feel is nevertheless solid and much more comfortable than on a pure on-screen keyboard. It should also be noted that the keyboard is only available with an English layout as standard. However, the manufacturer provides suitable keyboard stickers for other language layouts. The integrated touchpad is comparatively compact, but reliably fulfills its purpose in everyday use.
Display
The Ninkear S13 has a 13-inch IPS display in a productive 16:10 format, which ensures a sharp and detailed display with its high resolution. Content appears clear and pleasant in everyday use, while colors are vivid and balanced overall. The panel is therefore well suited for office work, streaming and surfing.
The viewing angles are typically stable for an IPS panel, meaning that content remains clearly visible even from a lateral perspective. When used outdoors, the device benefits from an anti-glare surface, which reduces reflections somewhat, but can still make direct sunlight problematic. However, the factory-applied protective film is extremely scratch-sensitive, which quickly causes unsightly scratches when used in conjunction with the stylus. The film can be removed easily, but this results in stronger reflections in everyday use.
The maximum brightness of the display is at a decent, but not outstanding level and is easily sufficient for typical indoor applications. In direct comparison, however, the apparently identical panel of the Alldocube iWork GT Ultra achieves visibly higher brightness values. The Ninkear S13 also shows rather average results in terms of contrast. In combination with the color fidelity, the Ninkear S13 is primarily designed for everyday use such as office, streaming or surfing and is less suitable for color-critical work. Slight brightening at the edges can also occur with dark image content, while fast movements occasionally reveal subtle streaks. In addition, PWM is used across all brightness levels.

Test conditions
All tests of the Ninkear S13 were carried out in the factory settings. The BIOS only offers basic options and leaves little room for further customization, for example in terms of performance profiles or fan control.
Processor
The Intel Core Ultra 5 115U in the Ninkear S13 delivers solid CPU performance for a device in this class. Storage device
A 1 TB SSD is used in the Ninkear S13, which impresses with its overall good and reliable performance in everyday use. Even under prolonged load, the transfer rates remain largely stable, so that the system works smoothly overall. However, there are no plans to expand the mass storage, and replacing the installed SSD is only possible to a limited extent or not easily due to the lack of maintenance options.

GPU performance
The integrated Intel Graphics (4-core) in the Ninkear S13 delivers a low graphics performance that copes with everyday tasks. Less demanding or older games generally run smoothly, while even reduced details are not sufficient to generate smooth frame rates for current titles. The performance is also sufficient for applications such as image processing, but the iGPU reaches its limits with more demanding workloads.

Battery life
The Ninkear S13 offers a solid battery life for everyday mobile use. In typical use with office applications, web browsing and streaming, the device lasts for several hours without a power outlet and is therefore well suited for use on the go or on the couch. However, if the display brightness is increased or the system is put under more load, the runtime drops noticeably. Overall, the endurance is at a decent level without reaching new best values.
