Alldocube iWork GT Ultra convertible review: Alternative to Android tablets with true PC performance
Solid performance, clear compromises.
With the iWork GT Ultra, Alldocube offers a versatile Windows convertible with Intel Core Ultra 5 125H. The stylus and keyboard cover are available as a complete package for around $920. But how does the device perform in everyday use in terms of performance, mobility, and battery life? Our test answers the most important questions.Sebastian Bade, 👁 Sebastian Bade, ✓ Anton Avdyushkin (translated by DeepL / Ninh Duy) Published 🇩🇪 🇳🇱 ...
Verdict - Versatile Windows tablet/convertible with clear compromises
The iWork GT Ultra from Alldocube is a comparatively inexpensive convertible that competes with more powerful Android tablets on price. Thanks to the Windows operating system, it is versatile, and the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H offers sufficient performance for everyday use as well as for more demanding applications. There is also a generous SSD, a bright IPS display, a backlit keyboard, and support for pen input. The connectivity, including a USB-A port, also proves to be practical in everyday use.
The display leaves a mixed impression considering the price range. On the one hand, the device scores points for its practical 16:10 format, high resolution, and good brightness, but falls short on color space coverage and the factory-applied anti-reflective film. The latter quickly causes scratches, which also occur instantly when using the stylus.
Nevertheless, with the iWork GT Ultra, Alldocube offers a versatile tablet with solid performance and a wide range of applications. It also lacks maintenance options. Direct Windows alternatives are rare in this price range, as comparable devices usually cost more than $1000.
Pros
Cons
Price and availability
With the iWork GT Ultra, Alldocube is positioning a high-performance convertible in the attractive price range. The device can be optionally expanded with an attachable keyboard and stylus, making it also aimed at productive users. An Intel Core Ultra 5 processor works inside, supported by 16 GB of RAM, while the high-resolution 2.5K display in the productive 16:10 format is impressive. The tablet is also well-equipped for storage, with a fast SSD of 1 TB. In terms of price, the overall package (799 euros on Amazon) remains comparatively affordable, which means that, in addition to classic Windows devices, more powerful Android tablets are the main competitors.
Specifications
Case & equipment
The iWork GT Ultra comes with an integrated kickstand. Alldocube relies on a metal case that creates a high-quality overall impression. However, under heavy pressure, there is a certain amount of flexibility: slight creaking noises when turning and a slightly yielding screen are noticeable, but do not have a negative effect in everyday use - everything remains stable even with normal touch inputs. The hinged stand on the back is stable and reminiscent of a Microsoft tablet.
The scope of delivery includes a keyboard cover that is magnetically attached to the underside. The upper part can be folded down to serve as a stand, which works reliably in practice and also offers additional protection. The optional keyboard cover is docked onto the underside, but it is not particularly secure and can come loose relatively easily. The tablet itself measures around 10 mm in height and weighs around 870 grams. With the keyboard, however, the weight increases significantly, and the overall height also increases slightly. The included power supply weighs 240 grams.
In terms of features, the iWork GT Ultra offers modern standards such as Wi-Fi 6 (albeit in a simpler 1x1 configuration), Bluetooth 5.2 and several ports. In addition to two USB-C ports, there is also a classic USB-A port, which is particularly practical in everyday use. Maintenance options are not provided. A front camera and a rear camera with autofocus are installed for video chats and snapshots, providing reliable results overall.

Sustainability
The manufacturer does not provide any specific sustainability information about the Alldocube iWork GT Ultra. However, the packaging could be improved, as the stylus is located in the lower part of the box, which is glued together and cannot be easily removed.
Tablets and convertibles from Alldocube: Stylish, versatile and affordable!
In addition to the iWork GT Ultra, a versatile and ultra-mobile Windows convertible that is suitable for use at home, work, school and university, Alldocube's comprehensive portfolio also offers numerous options for users who prefer Android-based tablets and convertibles. This also offers advantages such as an attractive price, low weight and particularly long battery life.
The Alldocube Ultra Pad, with its particularly sharp and bright 13-inch screen, offers a crystal-clear image at all times and thus opens up countless application possibilities. Equipped with a powerful Snapdragon CPU, Android 15, 24 GB RAM and 256 GB data storage, the Alldocube Ultra Pad is available from Amazon.
The Alldocube iPlay 70 mini Ultra tablet is an ultra-compact and affordable alternative. While no compromises are made in terms of features, the tablet with its 8.8-inch display fits into almost any compact handbag.
Input devices
The capacitive touchscreen of the iWork GT Ultra impresses with good gliding properties and responds precisely to inputs. The included stylus (with 4,096 pressure levels and an integrated battery) is also comfortable to hold, but cannot be attached directly to the device.
The optional keyboard cover has a backlight, although the key travel is rather shallow and the inputs are somewhat louder. Overall, the typing feel is nevertheless solid and clearly more pleasant than on an on-screen keyboard. However, it should be noted that only an English layout is available. A positive feature is the white backlight, which makes it easier to work in poor lighting conditions. The integrated ClickPad is quite small, but it serves its purpose in everyday use.
Display
The iWork GT Ultra is equipped with a 13-inch IPS display in 16:10 format, offering a resolution of 2,560 × 1,600 pixels and using in-cell full lamination technology. The display looks pleasantly sharp in everyday use, and colors are also subjectively strong and balanced. Due to slightly slower response times, slight ghosting effects are also visible. Occasional halos can occur with dark picture content, while PWM is used at brightness levels below 100 percent.
When used outdoors, the display benefits from the factory-applied anti-reflective film, which makes reflections somewhat less annoying. However, we did notice that the film was very sensitive to scratches on our test sample. On the other hand, the IPS panel's viewing angles are good.
In measurements, the display achieves a brightness of just over 500 cd/m² and a good contrast ratio for this price range. However, the pre-installed color profile tends to have a slight blue cast. Calibration does not provide any noticeable improvements. The color accuracy is also not one of the display's strengths.

Performance
Test conditions
All tests of the iWork GT Ultra were carried out in the factory settings. The BIOS offers very few options and provides no further adjustments, such as performance or fan control.
Processor
The Intel Core Ultra 5 125H in the iWork GT Ultra delivers solid CPU performance for a convertible in this class. Thanks to its hybrid architecture with performance and efficiency cores, the processor handles everyday tasks, multitasking, and more demanding office and creative applications without issue. The performance remains relatively stable even under prolonged load, although the cooling system can slightly limit the maximum performance.

Mass storage
The Alldocube iWork GT Ultra contains a 1 TB SSD from Netac, which delivers outstanding performance. In comparison, the iWork GT Ultra's SSD delivers the best performance and confirms this even under continuous load. An additional mass storage device cannot be installed. It is also not possible to replace the pre-installed mass storage due to the lack of a maintenance hatch.

Speaker
The quality of the iWork GT Ultra's two stereo speakers is not convincing. The maximum volume is low, and the sound is clearly tinny and not very balanced. It is therefore advisable to use external speakers or headphones for media playback.
