Decathlon has launched the Rockrider E-EXPL 900 26″ electric mountain bike in various European countries. This model, designed for children aged from 9 to 12 years, was unveiled at Roc d’Azur 2024 in October.
The Rockrider E-EXPL 900 is powered by a 250 W rear motor from Mahle offering up to 40 Nm torque. This is accompanied by a cadence sensor, and the rider can choose between Eco, Standard and Boost modes. The e-bike’s 250 Wh battery is said to allow you to ride with assistance for up to 80 km (~50 miles). Plus, an LED display indicates the remaining battery level or the selected assistance mode.
This Rockrider model has a RockShox Judy suspension fork with 80 mm travel and Hutchinson Toro 26 x 2.15-inch tires to make the ride more comfortable. On top of this, the 9-speed e-bike features hydraulic disc brakes for shorter stopping distances. It has a bright green aluminum frame, with the entire bike weighing in at around 16 kg (~35 lbs).
You can now buy the Decathlon Rockrider E-EXPL 900 26″ electric mountain bike for around €1,799.99 in countries such as the Netherlands, Spain, France, Italy and Germany. Whether or when this model could launch in the UK is unclear.
