MSI has unveiled a new version of an RTX 3080 card that it already sells in its native market of Taiwan. This SUPRIM X-series variant has been chosen as the OEM's latest special edition, and has an Assassin's Creed: Valhalla theme.
MSI has announced that it will ship with the same specs as a 'regular' 3080 SUPRIM X, which involves its 10GB of 19Gb/s GDDR6X RAM with a max clock of 1920MHz (or 1905MHz in Silent or Gaming modes); a maximum power draw of 370W, and HDMI 2.1 support.
It also has the same general triple 8-pin construction with TRI FROZR X "AI-powered" cooling and TORX 4.0 fans as a standard RTX 3080 SUPRIM X 10G LHR unit, although it has a new icy bluish-green colorway instead of the standard black finish.
Then again, there is no word on this latest example of somewhat belated RTX 3000-series marketing as yet, although MSI has revealed a buyer can get a free copy of its companion game on its registration thus far. For reference, a 'normal' RTX 3080 SUPRIM X 10GB card goes for US$1,499 on Amazon today.
