Ubisoft has dedicated part of its September 2022 Forward press conference to the revelation that Assassin's Creed is getting the Netflix treatment. In fact, this is happening twice over, as it will be one of the studio's titles to get a new version compatible with the streaming service's Games division as well as an almost obligatory TV re-make.

Assassin's Creed is officially set to dive back into the world of live-action adaptations, and surprise surprise, this streamable format will come courtesy of Netflix. Ubisoft has yet to specify when this possible episodic series will become available, although the game is known to be 1 of 3 titles that are to get another new form on the same platform soon.

Ubisoft has announced that it will also partner with Netflix to deliver a new mobile version of Assassin's Creed as an "exclusive" for that service's members. The studio has yet to specify a launch date for the game, however. Therefore, its upcoming Valiant Hearts and Mighty Quest counterparts might be found on the app ahead of it in 2023.

This new tie-in with Netflix Games might prove a boon for the fledging mobile service, as it has been found to attract fewer than 2 million users per day in August 2022.

It is not certain whether the new mobile title (or TV show) is to be based on an existing Assassin's Creed title. Meanwhile, its latest non-mobile instalments are slated to include the Code-Name RED and HEXE RPG variants, as well as the upcoming Mirage successor to Valhalla.
