Intel Celeron 6205
The Intel Celeron 6205 (or 6205U) is a power efficient dual-core SoC for laptops and Ultrabooks based on the Tiger Lake-U generation that should be announced in the third quarter of 2020. It integrates most likely only two Willow Cove processor cores (2 threads as no HyperThreading/SMT). The clock speed is not yet known but should be similar to the Comet Lake-U based Celeron 5205U (1.9 GHz, no Turbo).
Another novelty is the integrated Xe graphics card based on the completely new Gen 12 architecture. It should offer a significantly higher performance compared to the older UHD Graphics G1 (Ice Lake).
Other improvements from Ice Lake should be also integrated in Tiger Lake like the AI hardware acceleration and the partial integration of Thunderbolt and Wifi 6 in the chip.
The chip is produced in the improved 10nm+ process at Intel that should be comparable to the 7nm process at TSMC (e.g. Ryzen 4000 series).
Beware, the information above is still based on rumors, leaks and first informations (e.g., this, Tiger Lake Leak, NUC 11,) and can change till the CPU is released. All articles on Tiger Lake can be found on our Tiger Lake architecture hub.
